Pricegabber not showing correct price
Strengths: Good Unit
Weakness: Wish had wireless
This unit at Staples is actually 349 but it shows as 199 ( after 150 rebate, which incorrectly compares with competition). I went to Staples hoping the price was 199 and I can get 150 rebate of that price. I was disappointed.

Here again is another IDIOTIC review, the reviewer is upset that he didn't get the price he wanted. Is this the fault of the printer if he had got it cheaper would it have printed better.
Then the most stupid comment of all, "I wish it has wireless" it doesn't have wireless and Canon says it doesn't have wireless. So how in heavens can you give it only 3 stars because the reviewer is too stupid to read the specs. so clearly laid out by Canon.
I have one of these which I got from Amazon for $190 delivered. There is NO other printer close to this price with these features. The features that were most important to me are Network connectivity and Auto duplexing.
I did have a problem when I first used it, the printer would go into a coma when it was supposed to be in sleep mode. A power cycle was required to wake it up. Canon suggested I take it a Canon repair station, I did and they could not reproduce the problem. I took the printer back and did some more troubleshooting. I found the problem, it only occurred when the printer was connected to a network, obviously the repair station did not have the printer on a network. I called Canon again and they put me through to the network guys who told me that it was a known problem and a firmware update would fix it. It did.
This is a great printer for the price and the toner cartridge is easily re-filled with an inexpensive kit.
