MSI Desktop Motherboard - VIA K8T800 Chipset

Strengths: Sata, USB 2.0 and firewire with built in sound.

Weakness: Only supports 2Gb RAM...

Nice board to work with. Went together and booted with no problems at all. System runs quiet, and is fast with the 3700+ CPU. I would recommend this board to anyone.

MSI Desktop Motherboard - VIA K8T800 Chipset

Strengths: Great support, features, stability, and reliability

Weakness: No on-board wireless

I almost went ASUS just for the on board wireless, but settled on this board and I'm definitely not disappointed. This has to be the easiest board to overclock. The only thing I did wrong was buy a case without a window.

MSI Desktop Motherboard - VIA K8T800 Chipset

Strengths: SATA for 4 HDD's, 2 Parallel ATA for a total of 6 Raid Drives. Great Sound + Optical SPDIF.

Weakness: No lock in BIOS for the PCI & Video clock speeds. Prevents overclocking by too much.

Good Board, I'm a Asus person and this is the first MSI I've bought. I'll buy another, this time with more features at least to lock the PCI & video clock so I can get some serious overclocking. I can only get a 200MHz OC out of this one with good stability. That's with relaxed ram timing. I like to run my ram at 2,2,2,5 you can only get about 100 or so MHz or so with that timing on this board...

MSI Desktop Motherboard - VIA K8T800 Chipset

Strengths: RAID, SATA, LAN, On-board audio is good. Board layout is fairly clean. 4 LED diagnostic lights, rounded cables, etc. Manual fairly clear on set-up.

Weakness: Only one audio connector...if you have more than one drive with sound capabilities (CD, DVD) you will need a splitter, or you'll need to splice the audio cable. No AGP/PCI lock.

Very, very sensitive to certain brands of memory. Make sure you visit the MSI website for compatability. Unique to the Athlon64, you will need a quality power supply 400W or more, with at least 24amps on the +12v rail, and no power supply with dual 12v rails until they make them with higher amperages. I give this mobo 5 stars because it is an efficient piece of hardware. The newer K8T800 PRO will...

MSI Desktop Motherboard - VIA K8T800 Chipset

Strengths: 6.1 audio Fire Wire 6 USB Ports RAID

Weakness: 0+1 Raid must be made using 2 SATA and 2 Ultra ATA drives Capacitors near CPU socket make the fan a tight fit

Well, its a pretty good mobo, but i hate that stupid 0+1 raid draw back. It is all nicely laid out, the manual could be a little more discriptive, but it works.
