I bought one in January 2004 from...
Strengths: Clear in both text & graph at 1600x1200 DVI, quick response time, 3 year warranty, competitive price
Weakness: Performance when using 15-pin Analog RGB is weak in 1600x1200.
I bought one in January 2004 from dell small business at $800+. It works flawlessly since then.
I bought another one this Feb from dell home at about $450. It's also flawless.
I always use them at 1600x1200 DVI, IE text size is median.

Strengths: vga/dvi/s-video/composite connectors, 1600x1200 display, slim and space saving, dual input switching, included dvi-2-dsub converter and DVI cable, builtin USB2 hub, image rotate, less power than CRT
Weakness: inherent LCD weaknesses, "could" be expensive, 60Hz max refresh (16.6ms response), "old" model
I built a Small Form Factor (SFF) PC to save desk space a while ago and so I wanted to get an LCD monitor to replace my large Dell M990 CRT. Of course LCDs have inherent weaknesses such as low refresh rates (causing moving objects to ghost), low max resolutions (most only do to 1280x1024), contrast issues, and poor black levels (light from nearby 'on' pixels make blacks look gray or because the...

As a multimedia artist and...
Strengths: If you're in demand for more screen space, two of these is the way to go!
Weakness: None
As a multimedia artist and developer, with palette heavy applications like Photoshop or Illustrator, or timeline based programs like Flash or FinalCut, screen space is always at a premium. I've used a 17" dual monitor configuration for years and can't image anything less. Now, with dual 20", I've almost doubled my total screen area ( from 2 million pixels to 3.8 million pixels.) So much screen...

Overall, the monitor is an...
Strengths: Crisp graphics and imagery. Setup of the base and connections was extremely easy. Alot of nice options for connections on the monitor itself (i.e. 2 USBS, analog/digital, etc)
Weakness: The base takes up some space with its half circle plastic design. The buttons on the bottom front need to be pushed in to activate. They're not soft touch buttons. When I push in, the monitor swivels.
Overall, the monitor is an EXCELLENT buy. I paid $523 out the door for it! Once you go 20"+, you'll never want to go smaller. I've had 3 LCD's in the past and this monitor by far surpasses the quality in color and resolution of them. Grade = A

I originally thought about getting...
Strengths: No dead/bright pixels. Easy to use. 1600 x 1200 resolution! Best bang for the buck.
Weakness: Huge size really limits the amount of desktop real estate. Power hog. It doesn't save much more power than your average 19" CRT. Could be brighter.
I originally thought about getting this LCD screen to run a dual LCD setup for my desktop, but after setting it up on my desktop in place of my old LCD as the primary monitor, I found that it was not necessary. My old LCD only had a resolution of 1024x768. The Dell gives me more than 40% more viewing area, is brighter and has a faster response time than my old LCD. Overall, I'm very satisfied...
