This kit cools my CPU over 10...

Strengths: Easy installation. Excellent cooling capacity. Quiet operation. Variable fan control.

Weakness: Terribly written manual. CPU heatsink does not completely cover my CPU.

This kit cools my CPU over 10 degrees C under maximum load. Installation was fairly straightforward although there was a bit of trial and error as well as intuition involved, as the manual's English is a complete joke.

Great conversation piece for dorks...

Strengths: Easy installation for the novice and looks awesome while all along keeping my cpu a hair warmer than ambiant.

Weakness: Had to drill my new case but other than that none it is awesome

Great conversation piece for dorks like me. This product is be far the best mod I've made to my pc. It's looks are awesome, performance is outstanding for the price and not one leak. Cooling is very quiet compared to my last CPU fan. Also, how many people can say their computer has a radiator?

Strengths: Really cools down my CPU. Sturdy, attractive packaging. Extremely easy to assemble. Quiet when the fan is low. Real purty...

Weakness: Teeny tiny instruction manual. Limited mounting options if you don't want to drill your case - but then again most people buying this want to mod their case anyway, right?

Although a little nervous with the idea of liquid next to my expensive new parts (AMD 3500+ 90nm, ABIT Av8-3rd eye, BFG GeForce 6800GT, 1G Corsair 2-2-2), it assembled very easily, and after testing it for a couple of days (with the pump and radiator in tupperware to catch leaks and paper towels...

First experience with liquid cooling, and this kit was designed right - just for newbies like me. Although a little nervous with the idea of liquid next to my expensive new parts (AMD 3500+ 90nm, ABIT Av8-3rd eye, BFG GeForce 6800GT, 1G Corsair 2-2-2), it assembled very easily, and after testing it for a couple of days (with the pump and radiator in tupperware to catch leaks and paper towels stuffed in the case), there were no leaks anywhere. At mostly idle speed (downloading something while I write this) with the case closed, the uGURU utility on my motherboard is reporting my CPU is at 94-97F/34-37C, and I have the radiator fan on mid speed. When set all the way to low, which is almost silent, my temps are 95-97F/36-37C. When set to high (which, by the way, is VERY loud), my temps are coming up as 91F/32C. Overclocking, here I come! It's got LED's all over and the antifreeze-like solution is UV sensitive for those who want their PC's to look like Times Square or Akihabara. Some people put ground effects on Acuras and Eclipses, and some put them in their PC cases. My only complaints are that the instruction manual is so tiny as to be almost worthless and you can't get it at their website (Google Thermaltake Bigwater reviews and you'll find someone else who's installed it and put up the instructions), and that Thermaltake wants you to mount the radiator over your existing case fan holes. In my case (Antec SX1040BII), the two rear case fan holes are extruded on the outside, and I didn't want to remove the fans anyway. So I mounted the radiator on top of the case. Thermaltake was prescient enough to account for this, so there's plenty of tubing and power wire to do so. One last note - the radiator fan control takes up a PCI slot and there is a separate PCI insert for the tubing and wiring to go through if you're mounting the radiator on the outside of your case. If you're short on PCI outlets in your case, be prepared to do some drilling and modding for these features. Was going to buy a Zalman 7700 copper heat sink/fan, but at $112 plus shipping, vs the Zalman at about $40, the extra cooling benefits were worth the $72 difference. Plus there's the "wow" factor at telling your non-computer-geek friends that you have a liquid cooled computer...
