Pentium Extreme Edition 3.2 GHz CPU
Strengths: Very well made processor! Fast, reliable, is a workhorse.
Weakness: The CPU cooler attaches to the motherboard with plastic pins that snap onto board. These can break off if you remove it.
I have been building computers for years and have used both Intel and AMD processors. Until now I preferred AMD for their reliability and stable speed. Now that I have tried the Pentium Extreme EE SL8FK processor I will be using them in the majority of all my builds. I love this CPU. It runs multiple applications without a hitch. Temp. stays about 38 Celsius at idle and gets up to about 59...

INTEL?
Strengths: very stable, competitive performance, but...AMD64 X2
Weakness: HIGH PRICE- HIGH TEMPERATURe, 75C-80C FULL LOADED, AMD64 X2 HAS BETTER PERFORMANCE RATIO/ AND WATTS COMSUPTION (POWER), I PERSONAL DECIDED TO SELL IT AND BUY AMD 64 X2 PLATFORM.
i was a intel user until i test the amd 64 system, definetly intel must redesing he's architecture and system, to be more competitive with the cpu battle. if you really looking a processor for extreme aplication performance and extreme gamers capabilities. AMD 64 X2 is better choice.

AMD Phemom II X6
Strengths: Robust build, very powerful processor, cache level is very well distributed.
Weakness: Temperature is too high. Idle state 55 degree Celsius, at full load 75- 80 degree. Stock heatsink is bit noisy.
Before any comment I would like to ask all of u that why maximum people go for intel motherboard & intel processor? Everyone will give the same answer- quality, performance, speed, life expectancy. but the truth is that in todays world no computer goods are made with a aim that user can use them for at least 19- 20 years. i am not an engineer, i have no qualification, but still the knowledge i...

840D
Strengths: HT AND DUAL CORE
Weakness: None
I’ve used this processor for about 5 months In an Asus P5ND2 board without any problems AI boost does indicate this processor runs About 10° Celsius higher than the previous Processor- P4 3.0 630 which averaged about 38° overall I am satisfied with the performance Of this processor and would purchase it again. I will in the future reseat the heatsink with articsilver verses the thermal pad...
